A ten-year-old Dirk became captivated while watching a caricaturist attract a big audience at Knotts Berry Farm in Los Angeles. Being a budding artist himself, that very night young Dirk informed his parents, " I can do that ! " Performing in his own style ever since, and after wrapping up a 40 year career in broadcasting, Dirk has made good on his claim. As a full-time artist, Dirk "draws" big crowds at fairs, public and private events wherever he travels !
